Cookesley's painting of a young girl gazing out the window while holding a basket of flowers recalls the magic and wonderment of youth. 1906. Cookesley, herself, was intrigued by exotica and often chose subjects depicting life in the middle east. She achieved her greatest fame during the period from 1884 to 1910 often exhibiting at the Royal Academy and the New Watercolor Society, painting is in good condition and relined. 50" x 30"
